Every journey has its own rhythm—a mix of humble beginnings, transformative experiences, and big aspirations. For me, it began in a small town, where ambition was nurtured, passions were discovered, and dreams were born. I was born in a business family, which means that Entrepreneurship is in my blood. Today, as I work toward a future in finance, entrepreneurship, and innovation, I can look back and see how each step has shaped the person I am becoming. Here’s my story.
Growing up in a small town, I was surrounded by simplicity but fueled by big ambitions. Early on, my interests in sports and startups gave me a taste of teamwork, resilience, and creativity. Sports taught me the importance of discipline, focus, and collaboration, while my fascination with startups revealed the potential of innovative ideas to change lives. Even as a kid, I dreamed of making an impact far beyond the boundaries of my hometown.
Over time, my interest in startups evolved into a deeper passion for entrepreneurship. I became captivated by the power of ideas to disrupt industries and drive economic growth. It wasn’t just about launching businesses—it was about creating a ripple effect of innovation. I’ve always envisioned India as the startup capital of the world and have made it my mission to contribute to this vision. Whether through supporting visionary entrepreneurs or helping companies scale, I want to play an active role in fostering a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem.
As my journey unfolded, finance emerged as a cornerstone of my career aspirations. I discovered a love for analyzing data, valuing companies, and making sense of market dynamics. My investigative mindset, coupled with a natural curiosity, made me eager to dig deep into the mechanics of financial systems. From equity research to financial modeling, I found myself thriving in the intersection of analytical rigor and creative problem-solving. It’s not just about numbers for me—it’s about uncovering the stories behind them.
A major turning point in my journey was moving to Canada for higher education. Studying at Thompson Rivers University has been an eye-opening experience, both academically and personally. The coursework in Advanced Financial Management and Equity and Portfolio Analysis challenged me to push my boundaries and build exceptional skills. I’m proud to have maintained a 9.45 GPA, a reflection of my commitment to mastering the field.
But education didn’t stop at the classroom door. My part-time jobs in service-based industries—working as an Asset Protection Associate at Walmart and as a cashier at Petro Canada—were equally transformative. These roles gave me a hands-on understanding of how industries operate, from customer service to operational efficiency. They also taught me the value of adaptability and the importance of engaging with people from diverse backgrounds. These experiences helped me see the bigger picture, shaping my perspective on how industries connect and function in real life.
Throughout my journey, I’ve sought opportunities to put theory into practice. At Walmart, I implemented strategies that reduced theft by over $30,000, showcasing my problem-solving skills and ability to deliver measurable results. During my time as an Equity Research Intern, I sharpened my expertise in valuation, due diligence, and investment analysis. These experiences reinforced my belief in combining strong foundational knowledge with practical application to drive meaningful outcomes.
Looking ahead, my vision is clear: I want to use my skills and passion to create tangible impact. Whether it’s driving innovation in the startup world, supporting businesses through financial expertise, or contributing to India’s rise as a global startup hub, my goal is to combine my love for finance with my entrepreneurial spirit. As I work toward earning my CFA designation and advancing my career, I remain committed to building a future that is both impactful and inspiring.
